Inheriting Le Pain Quotidien’s existing lighting scheme, our lighting approach grew from the brand’s homely identity. The concept of the restaurant was to imitate a French country kitchen, using recycled materials to create a homely environment. Commiting to Le Plain Quotidien’s environmental policies, we ensured power consumption was kept to a minimum and light was used only where necessary. Using several layers of light to create the desired cosy atmosphere, we lit all artwork, merchandise and tables in a way that gives the restaurant the warmth one perceives in a home.
