Sweet History of York
The visitor centre tells the story of the importance of the confectionary trade in York’s history, featuring a tour, a chocolate making experience, café and shop. The lighting helps to reveal the story using several visual sensations highlighting key parts of the exhibition.
In addition to the normal kit of parts we also worked with coloured neon, effects projectors and miniature LED display lighting. This was a playful project where even in the coffee shop we referenced the swirling hot chocolate and sweets to create a comfortable environment where visitors could taste and ponder the Sweet History of York.
